Office chairs according to NPR 1813 standard.
These office chairs meet the strict requirements of the NPR-1813 standard, which makes them suitable for 95% of the Dutch working population. Chairs that comply with NPR-1813 also comply with NEN-EN 1335, as NPR-1813 is a stricter standard. NEN-EN 1335 is a European standard for office chairs. This standard says something about the dimensions and adjustability of the office chair. In the Netherlands, however, the size differences between people are very extreme. Therefore, the dimensions and adjustability must be adapted accordingly. To overcome this problem, an additional practical guideline has been created, the NPR 1813. The NPR 1813 can be seen as the benchmark for the high demands on an office chair in Dutch business.

• The chair is height adjustable from a minimum of 41 to 55cm
• The seat of the chair is flat and has a size of at least 40cm wide and 44cm deep.
• The seat has an adjustable inclination angle from -7 to 3 degrees, which can also be fixed at -3 degrees.
• The seat depth is adjustable from 38 to 48 cm
• The front of the backrest is flowing without any bulges or corners
• The backrest must have a width of at least 36cm and a maximum of 46cm. The length must be at least 37cm.
• The chair is equipped with adjustable lumbar support (More support for the lower back)
• The chair has armrests that are height adjustable from at least 20 to 30cm.
• The armrests must be at least 5cm wide and 20cm long
• The width distance between the 2 armrests must be at least adjustable between 36 and 51 cm
• The distance from the front of the armrest to the front of the seat must be at least 20cm.
• The base of the chair must be equipped with 5 castors
• The distance between the rotation axis and the floor must be at least 2 cm
• The chair must be safe and stable and must not have sharp parts
