This mechanism is from Scandinavian origin and, as we have come to expect from our Northern neighbors, this design is steeped in ingenuity. The floating tilt mechanism involves a system in which the seat is loose and tilts forward and back. The backrest is synchronous and moves along. By adjusting the bottom through movement, you stimulate the core muscles and your body automatically gets used to an upright, natural posture. Compare it to sitting on a balloon: when you sit on the moving surface you have to do your best to find balance, which ultimately results in an upright posture.
